Terms of Service – Only One Carry On

Last Updated: January 9, 2026

Welcome to Only One Carry On!

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Only One Carry On blog (onlyonecarryon.com). By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site (though I’d miss you).

Who Runs This Blog

Only One Carry On is a travel blog operated as a sole proprietorship based in Florida, USA. You can contact us at hello@onlyonecarryon.com with any questions about these Terms.

What You Can Expect From Me

Content Quality: I do my best to provide accurate, helpful travel information based on real experiences and extensive research. However, I’m human—mistakes happen. Flight prices change, hotels get renovated, pandemic restrictions shift. I update content regularly, but I can’t guarantee everything is current at all times.

Content Ownership: All content on this blog—articles, photos, itineraries, flight tracking data, graphics, etc.—is owned by Only One Carry On unless otherwise stated. I’ve worked hard to create this content (15+ years of flight tracking doesn’t happen by accident).

What I Expect From You

Using My Content

You CAN:

  • Read and share my blog posts on social media
  • Pin my images to Pinterest with proper attribution
  • Quote small portions (1-2 paragraphs max) with clear attribution and a link back
  • Email articles to friends who need travel advice

You CANNOT:

  • Copy entire blog posts and republish them on your own site
  • Use my flight tracking data or itineraries in a paid product without permission
  • Remove my watermarks from images
  • Scrape my content for AI training without permission
  • Claim my work as your own (this is plagiarism and can result in legal action)

Fair Use: If you’re a teacher, journalist, or researcher and want to use my content under fair use provisions, that’s generally fine—just provide attribution.

User Conduct

When using this blog, you agree NOT to:

I reserve the right to delete comments or ban users who violate these rules.

Comments Policy

If you comment on blog posts:

No Professional Advice

Travel Advice

The information on this blog is for general guidance only. I share what’s worked for my family and based on my research, but:

  • Your travel experience may differ
  • Rules and requirements change (visa rules, COVID restrictions, etc.)
  • You’re responsible for verifying current information before booking

Not Medical Advice: If I mention health topics (like jet lag strategies), it’s not medical advice. Consult a real doctor, especially for health-related travel concerns.

Not Legal/Financial Advice: If I discuss topics like travel insurance or budget strategies, I’m not a lawyer or financial advisor. This is just my experience—consult professionals for your specific situation.

Not Guaranteed Results: I share flight tracking data and booking strategies that have worked for me, but I can’t guarantee you’ll get the same prices or availability.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Only One Carry On is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including:

Translation

I do my absolute best, but I can’t promise perfection. Websites crash, information changes, and Murphy’s Law applies to travel more than anything else.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

What this means in plain English

If the hotel I recommended has bedbugs, or your flight gets cancelled, or your vacation doesn’t turn out as planned, I’m genuinely sorry—but I’m not legally liable. You make your own travel decisions and bookings.

Exception: Nothing in these Terms limits my liability for fraud or for death/personal injury caused by my negligence.

Indemnification

If your use of this blog causes me legal problems (like if you post defamatory comments), you agree to defend and indemnify me against any claims, damages, or expenses.

Changes to Content

I reserve the right to:

Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms occasionally. I’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top. If I make significant changes, I’ll post about it in my newsletter.

Your continued use of the blog after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

If you believe I’ve used your copyrighted work without permission, email me at hello@onlyonecarryon.com with:

I’ll investigate promptly and remove infringing content if appropriate.

False claims can result in legal penalties, so please be sure before filing.

Privacy & Cookies

Your use of this blog is also governed by my Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Please review those documents to understand how I collect and use your information.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the United States. However, if you’re in the EU, UK, or California, you also have rights under your local consumer protection and data privacy laws—nothing in these Terms removes those protections.

Dispute Resolution

If we have a disagreement about these Terms, let’s try to work it out like adults:

  1. Email me first: Most issues can be resolved by a simple conversation. Email hello@onlyonecarryon.com.
  2. Mediation: If that doesn’t work, we can try mediation before jumping to legal action.
  3. EU Online Dispute Resolution: EU users can use the EU ODR platform.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, plus my Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the complete agreement between us about using this blog.

Questions About These Terms?

Email me at hello@onlyonecarryon.com. I’ll respond in plain English, not legalese—promise.

The Friendly Version

I created Only One Carry On to help military families and working parents make the most of limited vacation time. These Terms exist because the internet requires them, but my real goal is much simpler: provide honest, helpful travel advice and protect both of us legally.

Use this blog respectfully, don’t steal my content, and we’ll get along great. Safe travels! ✈️
